It's out and available in the digital world - the Grandsons cover of "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)". The band learned this Talking Heads' tune upon special request and it was so much fun that they decided to record their own version. It's groove-alicious!
Chris Watling wrote a great arrangement for saxes, trumpet and the Scandalli accordion (aka the belly Baldwin). Alan MacEwen gives his usual warm vocal touch to what must be the most human and romantic lyric of the Talking Heads' discography, aided on background vocals by Craig Evans, of Richmond favorites The Taters. Matt Sedgley (aka the "Bard of the drums") and Eric Bowers hold down the rhythm fort with a danceable combination of brash understatement and weary panache.
For 1/3rd of the price of a cup of coffee or gallon of gas (that's 99 cents if you don't go to Starbucks or gas has gone over $4/gallon), you can buy it on:
